This pineapple, orange & lemon juice is extremely refreshing and incredibly delicious. It is BOLD in flavours. What’s more is that it contains all natural ingredients and contains a chockful of health benefits. As it’s all natural, it’s lower in sugar than the store bought equivalents.
The best bit is that you don’t need a juicer to make it. All you need is blender and a sieve/strainer – that’s it!
I’m obsessed with this flavour profile. The sweet pineapple really complements the citrusy oranges and tangy lemon juice.
There are only 4 ingredients required for this recipe: water, 1 lemon, 1 orange and a handful of pineapple chucks. The ingredients are simple and so is the method.
Read on to learn about the health benefits of this juice and the technique to get juice without bits.
How to make pineapple, orange & lemon juice
Fill a blender with 400ml of cold water, 1 peeled lemon, 1 peeled large orange and approximately 50g of fresh or frozen pineapple. Then blend for 2 mins. Pulse further if you see bits in your blender.
Take your sieve and place it over a large bowl. Gently pour in your blended mixture into the sieve. Using a spoon or a spatula, slowly move the mixture in the sieve so that the juice is able to trickle into your bowl. You may need to do this multiple times, in small batches, to use up the liquid mixture, depending on the size of your sieve.
Pulp should be left behind in the sieve.
What can I do with the pulp from my juice?
You can either discard this (compost friendly) or freeze it so that you can use this in future smoothies. (We don’t like food waste over here!
