This incredibly easy yet delicious creamy feta and honey whipped dip is so versatile and such a family crowd pleaser. It’s salty, creamy, rich and sweet all in one dip. What’s better is that it’s nutritious and both adults and kids love it!
This spread is far better than any store bought dip I’ve had and doesn’t contain those pesky preservatives that most store bought dips tend to have. It’s pretty addictive!
Ingredients
As this recipe is so easy to make and versatile, there are only a small number of ingredients that form the base of the dip. You can add more ingredients to this to further enhance the flavour profile.
The ingredients that you’ll need for this luxurious dip are:
- Feta It’s best to use goat’s or sheep’s milk goats cheese as these tend to be creamier and tangier in taste. However, if you have cow’s milk feta then this is also ok.
- Greek yogurt If you’re using cow’s milk feta cheese then full fat Greek yoghurt will make up for the missing creaminess that goat’s or sheep’s milk brings. Otherwise, low fat yoghurt is best.
- Lemon juice This brings a wonderful zingy tartness to the cheese. More juice will make the feta more loose in texture.
- Honey The sweetness of honey pairs really well with the saltiness of the feta. Maple syrup is also a good substitute if you don’t have any honey to hand.
- Chilli flakes This is optional. The best thing is that you can add more of this after you’ve made the whipped feta dip as a topping.
In order to make this creamy dip, you’ll need a food processor. You can make this by had but it’ll require a lot of arm power to get that whipped creamy texture.
Instructions
This honestly could not be easier! To a food processor, add feta, honey, Greek yoghurt, lemon juice and your desired quantity of chilli flakes and blitz for 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides and blitz more until you get the whipped texture you’re after.
